I've always been drawn to color. Growing up, I was surrounded by vibrant textiles, clothing from Punjab and Rajasthan, heavy with detail, texture, and saturated hues. There was never anything muted about my world. From embroidered phulkaris to mirrored skirts and stacks of bangles, everything around me was bold, expressive, and full of live. My eyes continue to crave that color.

I'm Amrita Bamrah, though in the studio you can call me AmBam. My work is rooted in culture and shaped by boldness. Through layered color and patterns, I create art that adds vibrancy to everyday life.

Outside the studio, I’ve spent over a decade in community organizing, public policy, and nonprofit leadership. I care deeply about building power, telling the truth, and creating things that last.
